A Plague Banner is an icon of Nurgle, held aloft as a standard, imbued with the magic of the Lord of Pestilence.
The Plague Banner is a frightening creation of rotten hide flapping in a pestilent breeze. Powerful magics hold a great spell of corruption in check until the time is ripe to send disease and decay scything through the enemy's ranks.
The Plague Banner contains a potent spell of destruction that may be cast once per battle, during any psychic phase. This is treated as a psychic power cast with Ultimate Force but requires no Force cards to be cast. The spell inflicts D6 wounds which may be distributed on any enemy models or vehicle crew (including Dreadnoughts) within 6" of the standard, but no more than 1 wound may be applied per enemy model. No saving throws of any kind apply.

Poewrful magic holds a great spell in check within it until the time is right to send disease and decay scything through the enemy's ranks. The banner contains a potent spell of destruction which may be cast once per battle. The spell inflicts D6 wounds which may be distributed on any enemy models within 6" of the standard, but no more than 1 wound may be applied per enemy model. No armour saving throws apply. Note that this only applies to living foes, not to other Daemons, vehicles, Talos, Avatars or Wraithguard.
The Plague Banner is a hideous fabrication of rotting hides which flap in a pestilent wind. Not only can it function like a normal Icon but, in addition, a powerful curse is held in the standard that can be released once per battle in the owner's Shooting phase. Any one enemy unit with a model within 6" of the banner will take D6 wounds just as shooting with no armour or cover saves possible.
A pervasive aura of pestilence surrounds this icon, causing rusted blades to weep with even fouler and more toxic diseases.
A plague banner is an Icon of Chaos. Once per game, at the start of the Fight sub-phase, the unit can declare it is using the plague banner. If it does so, its melee weapons have the Poisoned (2+) special rule until the end of the phase.
